The marble and alabaster stone animals are made of a technique known as undercutting, whereby the entire animal, howsoever big, is made of a single piece of stone. There are one or more animals inside the stomach of the outer animal. Undercutting is a special art known to only the descendents of the artisans involved in the creation of the Taj Mahal. The bronze animals are crafted in the lost wax technique. Prices below are exclusive of shipping charges.
